Early Career
Since I first began journalism work at the Courier Post newspaper in Cherry Hill, NJ, in 1969 to the present in 2023 I have written several thousand articles for newspapers, magazine and news websites. It’s recently dawned on me that while I have many of my print articles from the early decades of my career, from the 1990s onward — when nearly all my mainstream media outlet pieces were published in digital form — I have almost nothing from my time at Editor & Publisher, Advertising Age, APBnews.com and Capitol News Connection. Media industry websites rapidly change, and many have the habit of saving money and content migration costs by simply deleted previous years or even decades of published work. In this brief archive are a dozen of my earlier print articles.
